A plain-English explanation of what information Engraving Digital collects, why we use it and how we protect it.
Last updated · 17 October 2026
Engraving Digital (“we”, “us” or “our”) operates engravingdigital.com and provides website design and development services in Australia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect personal information through our website and business enquiries.
Information we collect
When you submit our website demo enquiry form, we collect the information you choose to provide, including your first and last name, email address, optional phone number, optional business or organisation name, and details about your proposed project.
Please do not include passwords, payment-card details, government identifiers, health information or other sensitive information in the project-description field.
Our website, hosting provider and security services may also record technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, form-submission events, and security or error logs. This information helps us operate the website, diagnose problems and prevent abuse.
How we use personal information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and communicate with you;
- understand your requirements and prepare a quote or proposal;
- provide and administer services if you become a client;
- keep appropriate business and administrative records;
- protect our website, forms, email systems and users from spam, fraud and security threats;
- troubleshoot and improve the reliability of the website; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations and resolve disputes.
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing list. If we introduce marketing emails in the future, we will seek appropriate consent and provide an unsubscribe option.
Forms, spam prevention and reCAPTCHA
Our enquiry form is provided using Forminator. Form submissions are stored in our WordPress website and may also be sent to our business email inbox so we can respond.
We use Google reCAPTCHA to help distinguish genuine visitors from automated submissions. reCAPTCHA may collect device and interaction information and process it in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and Google Terms of Service.
Where enabled, submissions may also be checked by Akismet, an anti-spam service operated by Automattic. Information submitted through the form and related technical data may be processed for spam detection in accordance with Automattic’s Privacy Notice.
Cookies and similar technologies
WordPress may use cookies for authorised administrators who sign in to manage the website. Our forms, security services and reCAPTCHA may also use cookies, local storage or similar technologies where needed to provide their functions, prevent abuse and maintain security.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website. Google Analytics may use cookies and process information about pages viewed, website interactions, and your browser and device. Google handles this information in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. If we change our analytics or advertising technology, we will review and update this policy.
Third-party services and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information only where reasonably necessary to:
- our authorised team members and contractors who need it to respond to an enquiry or provide services;
- website hosting, email delivery and technical-support providers;
- security and spam-prevention providers, including Wordfence, Google reCAPTCHA and Akismet where active;
- Google-hosted font and website infrastructure services used to display and operate the site;
- professional advisers such as accountants, insurers or lawyers; and
- regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other parties where disclosure is required or authorised by law.
Some service providers, including Google and Automattic, may process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries in which they or their service providers operate. Privacy protections in those countries may differ from those in Australia.
Storage, security and retention
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from loss, misuse, interference and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We retain enquiry and client information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, assess or provide services, maintain appropriate business records, comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to backup cycles and legal record-keeping requirements.
Access, correction and privacy complaints
You may contact us to request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you, or to make a privacy complaint. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Please email riley@engravingdigital.com. We will consider and respond to privacy requests and complaints within a reasonable period. If the Australian Privacy Act applies and you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Our website may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites, and we encourage you to review their privacy information.
